I saw the video this morning and had to come look for the memorial thread. Sad day indeed! Sacrificed in the pursuit of knowledge. I'm sure GreenBean II will be a fine hammock.

Thank goodness you were at home (not miles down on the trail) and didn't get hurt. The green bean held on to make sure you had a great night sleep all the way to the end. What a great hammock.
My deepest condolences.
I guess its just the circle of life.
Your green bean will never be a has been.
Poor GreenBean! I'm so sorry for your loss Shug. My kids will grow up watching GreenBean as they get older and seek more hammock hanging knowledge. May the greenest of beans live on in infamy!

Oh wow, that's awful! I'm really sorry that happened and I can understand the attachment someone can have with their hammock.
2.0 is going to have some awesome adventures for sure.

I recon GreenBean is the hammock that launched thousands of hammocks.
Most of us owe a debt of gratitude to GreenBean. She will be missed by everyone.
I am sorry for your loss. She laid her last in service to the hammock community.
She, truly, earned her place in history and hero status.
I know you learned a lot from her and shared that knowledge with us all.
Thank you sir, and thank you GreenBean!

It's a sad day.
All my morning aches and pains went away when I discovered hammock camping!
As always, thanks for the explanation of ridge line.
