    Hello from Dallas, GA

    Hey everyone.

Been backpacking for 1.5 years. I stay in the southeast and my favorite destination is the Cohutta Wilderness. My first camping system was HH expedition, then i moved to the ground with REI's quarter dome 2, but I just ordered my WBBB XLC, superfly, and 3S Yeti. I also just recently bought a fly fishing outfit and have been giving that a try but I'm not the best fisherman when it comes to fly fishing it appears. lol.

I've recently graduated from Kennesaw State University with a bachelor's in Chemistry and am currently attending KSU for my Masters in Applied Statistics.

If anyone ever wants to plan a trip to Cohutta to camp or fish just PM me!

Welcome to HF from Athens. Hammocks and trout fishing make a great combination. Fish in the morning, nap in the afternoon, and back to fishing as it cools off for the evening.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

Welcome to the forums from Lawrenceville, GA. My son and I have done a good bit of hiking and camping in North GA, but haven't been to Cohutta. Been meaning to go there and check out some trails, just haven't made it yet.

You just missed a trip by a couple of days. We just hiked the Conansauga River Trail last weekend.

If you're backpacking the pinhoti is in your backyard and a bit more peaceful than n. GA.

I haven't been on the Conasauga side of Cohutta yet, I've spent a lot of time on Jack's River because I drive an S2000 and I know I can get there lol. I would like to try the pinhoti MoeT but have not been there yet. My next trip is going to NC for Shining Rock and Middle Prong Wilderness in Pisgah National Forest for 2 nights I'm pretty sure.
