man I just don't know, for me Camp fire = whiskey = shenanigans. I may have to pass on this one, but sounds like a fun spot and looks like a good turnout. Can't ask for a better group to enjoy the outdoors with.

It looks like I'm going to be attending Woodbadge training (Boy Scouts leadership) that weekend so I have to back out. It's looking like a great trip so I'll definitely come if anything changes.
I am a definite maybe, waiting on word from my motorcycle group as to when our monthly meeting will be, hope to meet you all there though
We are about 6 weeks out and the attendee list continues to change slightly. Am still excited for my first group hang. I did get the confirmation letter from the forest service for the reservation a couple of weeks ago so we are 100% official.
For Friday night dinner I was thinking about making Tortilla Soup. I thought that something a little warm might be nice. Then I can make a cobbler in the dutch oven (Just want to make sure we don't end up with too many cobblers).
We have not talked too much about other activities besides just hanging out. Blue Ridge Reservoir is 15-20 minutes away if you have a canoe or kayak. I will call to find out the closing date this year in case anyone is interested. There is also a cabin loop trail system that has several connecting hikes. Several other hikes are also in the area, including the short Clover Creek hike where I tried to make my first video. I am not much of a climber, but Jack's Canyon is about 25-30 minutes north if you are interested. I will be up there in a couple weeks and can check anything out if you have any additional questions.
