    Pisgah camping trip

Planning on a camping trip in Pisgah and it seems the concensus is that Linville Gorge is the spot to go. Any ideal areas to set up or just anywhere. Never been to Pisgah so I'm trying to make a plan. Not even sure where to park and enter the forest. Any info is welcome.

    What kind of camping?
There are quite a few spots along the western rim you can drive right up to and car camp. Keep in mind you're in a wilderness so there's not electricity or running water.

    Dispersed camping. Something more secluded.

Shugs videos are great, and the folks over at linvillegorge.net are a good bunch and many of them are on HF as well. They have the details on that site, but be aware you need a permit to camp in the gorge during the summer months. A lot of people get started at the Table Rock parking area. Lots of options, but also highest likelihood of running into other people. Views are great though.
I was up there a few weeks ago and we camped at Bynum Bluff. It's a quick 30min hike in to get to the river. Being on the river you miss out on the ridgeline views, but I'm partial to being by the water. It's an in and out hike, but it crosses the Linville Gorge trail if you wanted to make a loop out of it.
The Gorge is awesome, but Pisgah has lots of options. PM me if you don't find enough information to help.

In everyone's opinion, which trail is your fav and why?
    Also, good swimming holes?

Looking for best views, best swimming, and challenging terrain isn't a problem for me.

Pitch in is where you need to go. Its the only trail going to the river that has any views. Shug done a video on it last year check it out. Gorgeous place

Be aware also that the Pinch in trail has NO SHADE! In the summer it can really beat you up with the heat.
Pretty much ANY place in the Linville Gorge is awesome, you'll have a lot of fun, whichever trail you choose!
