I recently made a hammock, slightly over 11 ft, with hexon 1.6. I really like the fabric - both feel and stretch (it isn't very stretchy). I also used some hexon 1.0 as the inner layer of a TQ. Again, I like the softer, non-plastic feel. For the hammock, I bought the kit and just used the whole fabric MYG shipped, including the selvage in the hem. I folded once, sewed a line, installed button holes for the knotty mods, then sewed a second line to close up the hem and create a channel for the shock cord. Put 4 rows of stitching in the ends for 33% overkill. Pictures at

Dutch... Question about material comparison.
I had a DL Blackbird in 1.1 and when I ditched the pad I decided to go with an SL and with very little research I opted for a 1.1.. still a Blackbird.
Now, I am thinking the 1.1 is a bit too stretchy for my build. I am around 190lbs give or take a few. I am finding I have far more calf ridge than I want to deal with. I'm ok with a little, as my default sleeping position kind of works around the ridge, but I am not getting as flat a lay as I did with the 1.1 DL.
It has been suggested that I try a 1.6 Hexon. So, now I am contemplating the Half Wit in that material. I think I will be ok without the BB's side shelf and probably ok with the half net.. not 100% sure.
So how does 1.6 Hexon compare to the 1.1 30D Nylon used in the Blackbird??
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....
