I would like to ask Dutch's (and others') opinion: of all these fabrics, which one would be the most comfortable in a hot and humid environment? Wicking from the inside, fast drying on the outside and permeable to air flow are desirable properties.

Dutch, thanks for the explanation of the fabrics above. I'd like to suggest that you make a matrix that breaks the hammock fabrics down including stuff like weight limit, breathability, stretch, etc.

Here's what drives my question: I really like the stretch of Argon 1.6 and I'm not sure how all of the other fabrics stretch in relation to it. I can think of one company that does this really well on their site: http://borahgear.com/fabrics.html

Being in the Philippines I can see where this is important to you. The PolyD is going to give you the most wicking and breathability. The Dobby 1.9 has the most wind resistance and would be the worst choice for the tropics.

I'm a big fan of Borah Gear and Dylan makes some awesome products. I hope to put something together but my list is always changing and I have several fabrics to add yet. I like to test out a fabric before I put it on the site. I like to sew it up, seam seal it, and send it out for testing. So a list I make today will be obsolete tomorrow. I also hope to discontinue some of the older fabrics as it is getting hard to manage. I hope to put something together and I am trying to hire more help but right now I get most of the technical duties. Maybe once I settle on a product line it will be more possible. For now you should just buy one of each.
