Oh?! Can this TRUE?? I can't believe this! Some of the finest and most comfortable, excellent blue-silk hammocks in which I've ever lain were proudly and masterfully Thai-made! Additionally, the most perfectly water-proof, most siliconed of silny tarps I've ever touched were made in a textile factory (I cannot now recall the town.) in central upper Thailand, where there used to be a vegetable processing factory; and they were sold in many sizes with many optional features available. Surely, ALL this high quality and broad variety is not now intended for export-only?! I wish you much luck and great success, whichever course you choose.
Edit: No, no! I'm sorry! It was Chiang Mai! I encourage you to investigate, and discover what may be available to you, domestically, before you give up hope.

The good part of these tarps is that even while tarp is closed, it is still open at bottom. The bottom opening can be adjusted by hanging the tarp higher or lower. Also, check out the last 2 pictures with the tarp wide open and in porch mode. The tarp is very adjustable for a wide variety of temps and weather conditions. Also I made it myself so it was less than $20 US. If you can't find a tarp there, make your own.
Good luck.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
Polyester will have less stretch. RSBTR will have a second generation Polyester material that may be great. Ask them about overseas shipping from the US or check for local materials.

In Thailand, you can find only polyester, nylon is expensive and silicone coat is more expensive. And Thai call tarp is flysheet. Big tarp inThailand too heavy. Sometimes I order online from USA. But i dont know this year, amazon deny ship to Thailand. May be i made it.
