For sale notifications

Is there a way or setting to be notified when a new for sale item is posted? I always seem to log on too late for some great items. I don't want an email every time a new comment is posted on the for sale section, just a new thread. Also don't want to be notified every time there is a new thread in all topics or sections.

Is this possible?

One option is to subscribe to the for sale sub forum as a whole. You can get notified every time a new topic is created.

i'm not sure if you can do it through this board, but a roundabout way of doing is to subscribe to the "for sale" subforum, then set up filters on your email client to dump all subscription emails into a folder except those meeting certain keywords, e.g. starts with 'FS: ' and exclude "reply to thread"

me... i just sit here and hit refresh all day.

I was being notified through this site, however, I found two major problems.
1. The notification was slow.
2. Everything came through, rather irritating after a while.

I just flip through the F.S. Forum every so often. Win some lose some.

Why not post what your looking for in the WANTED sub forum of the market place??.
Some members look to see if anyone is looking for what they have before they post it for sale.

Not really looking for anything except maybe a Incubator UQ. I just like to grab stuff when the deal is good and I think I may need the item. Not really in search of anything else specific. Thanks!

I just downloaded tapatalk. It has an excellent interface and notifications are very easy to set up. I know someone posted about it already, but I thought I would throw my vote in.
