    Michigan Fall Hang?

    Hey everyone!

Kind of new to posting on the forum, but I have read a lot of articles and been around for a little bit now.

I was just wondering if people would be interested in organizing a weekend hang in the fall anywhere in Michigan. Fall is my favorite season to be outside, and personally my favorite time to hammock and backpack!

I live in West Michigan, but am willing to travel to meet up and check out other peoples setups. I searched to see if one was scheduled, but I didn't see anything.

I don't know of a lot of places in western Michigan considering I do most of my hiking up north. Wilderness state park has always peaked my interest as a hangout spot. Let me know what you think!

Thoughts on places? Are you interested in coming?

    Thanks guys!

I would be interested in attending, been keeping my eye out for a MI hang.

I don't remember where it was but in another thread. (I think it was a DIY thread but I'm not sure) there was some off topic discussion about doing something on the Manistee river loop.

Its a great place, I'm actually headed there Sunday.

My son and I are heading to the Manistee River loop this weekend. You're more than welcome to hike along with us if you want.

There usually is a fall hang at Yankee Springs in October from what I've heard.

I would love to but with more things going on around home now, I'm not as flexible. I usually head out on trips without much planning or notice.

No matter where you go you're guaranteed a good time in the fall. Just in case anyone is wondering, it's obviously the best season It's SOOO humid, buggy and miserable out now I just can't wait until things start to frost up!!
