    Hello from Colorado Springs!

Hi everybody my names Dustin and I've been looking through the forum for a little bit now and felt it was only right to say hello and start contributing!

I'm new to hanging and loving it! After moving to Colorado I quickly fell in love with backpacking and began to do hours and hours of research on the perfect tent to buy, not really knowing there was any other way to go. After a winter of reading and researching (and saving) I made my decision (coughed up the cash) and was off to the woods. Now after being introduced to hammocks by a friend, that tent is starting to collect dust in closet. After my first night in a hammock, I was hooked. Despite underestimating the need for some insulation under me, I slept better than I ever did in a tent. Being new to hammocks I'm still tweaking my set-up, and the forum here has given me some great ideas to start with. Seems like a great little community here and I'll do my best to chip in where I can.

I lived in CS for 6 years. Very nice summers. Welcome to the forums.
    We are the crazy people.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my a_ _ lighter.
