    Cool First hammock! Very pleased with the result.

    Hey all I just finished making my first hammock and couldn't be happier with the results.

    Specs:
    1.6 diamond (Black) from Ripstop by the Roll
    Red Gutterman Thread from Ripstop by the Roll
    Red Whoopie Slings (Thanks dutch)
    11ft x 5ft
    306g with suspension!!!!

    Thanks for all the tutorials and look forward to sharing more pics and doing many more DIY projects.

    Now off to go sleep in it!

    Nice looking hammock. I'm a DIY kind of person and wondering if I can pull this off. Guess I will just have to give it a try. The wife might have issues with me starting a new "hobby" but I need something to do when I'm not messing with the motorcycles or the homebrew stuff. Right?

    I plan on it. I still need to figure out exactly how long I want the ridgeline to be as the hammock is around 10'10" and not a length I am used to.

    yeah there are definitely spots where I wasn't straight with the sewing and is more noticeable because of the color. (didn't post pictures of course)
