The Bees Outdoors
Hello, first post here. My name is matt and i am new to hammock camping. I have the same hammock (though different colors) and I really like it. Lots of room and quite comfy. I added a ridgeline to mine and made it even more so.
I stow it away differently though. Rather than rolling up like you guys did, I pull the two ends together, twist them up (and store it around my arm while doing that) and start STUFFING it into the stuff sack. It takes about half the time the sped up portion of video took to play and deploys just as fast. That is until I made snake skins. I find them slower but more convenient.
I made 4 hammocks for the rest of my family, along with stuff sacks, and I do the same twist/stuff action with them and it works great. Back to this hammock though, I much prefer the width of the Grand Trunk Double to a standard width, but the 12 footer I made works just fine with lots of room at 59 inches wide. Now I want to play with different width/length combinations! Thank you for sharing your video.
Hi Matt,
Thanks for watching the video. The Grand Trunk Double was our first experience with a hammock! We are going to try your twist method for storing the hammock next time we use it. Always great to hear new and different ideas from people!
