    I have the seam in, but that is because of how the stuff sack is attached to the side of my double Grand Trunk. With seam out the opening of the bag would be on the underside and it wouldn't hold my Nalgene bottle (perfect size for that.) I tend to be a little OCD myself so on the ones I made it is always seam in.

    Seam on the outside. Less chance of feeling/snagging it when getting in and out. Stitching on the couch is away from your skin and my hammock is like a couch I bring to the woods.

    Always....seam on the outside for a smooth edge inside. Same with a bridge hammock...the rolled hem containing the webbing goes to the outside.
