Tying Ring Buckles to Stock HH Line

For now I would like to keep my stock line on my Hennessy Explorer UL but just received some SMC rings and want to give them a try. What would be a good way of attaching them?

    Thanks!

I cut mine to 20" and used an anchor hitch. The anchor hitch used up 10" of line. The cut portion of the line is now attached to my tree huggers.

You could use an anchor hitch, then coil up the remaining line and let it hang.

I tied this hitch on two rings and taped the bitter end to the standing part.

One example. I did cut the ropes here but that does not need to be done.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

In my pic.. yes the thick ropes are on the Hennssy Safari. On my explorer I just tied a prussic in the stock suspension rope. I cut it off later.. but that is not absolutely required.

Edit: At 6:23 of my "Gimmee Shelter" video you can get a good close look at my explorer lines with the ring buckle.

This Garda Hitch is the best way I have found, esp. if you are using a biner through your huggers.

I double up my clove hitch more like a prussic.
My knife is so sharp it cut the sixth finger off my right hand! On the plus side, Inigo Montoya no longer hunts me.

If you run your suspension ropes back to the ring buckles then yeah the garda Hitch is the knot to use. I use webbing for the suspension.

I didn't even think of putting the rings on the tree hugger end, would be lighter too since there's less webbing.
