Just got home from a four day trip to Sylvaina. One of the best places I've been too.
There was four of us myself, my 10 year old son, my buddy and his 10 year old son. We arrived 7-29-15 around noon and the wind was a steady 28 mph with gusts of 35, white caps on Crooked Lake! We were advised to come back the next day because everyone we talked to said they've never seen it that bad before! My buddy and I looked at each other and said let's do it.
The picture doesn't do justice for what it was like out there.
My boy paddled his *** off and I as well. It took just under two hours to reach the south end of Crooked. We stayed at Fisher 2 site. We hiked Thursday and Friday due to winds being strong both days also. Hiked to Clark Lake then Loon Lake where we caught some monster small mouths
Friday we hiked to Deer Island Lake and slammed the small mouths.
It was a great trip and everyone can't wait for next year!
