One thing to consider with poncho liners is, they are meant to be used with the poncho. Consequently, they are not at all windproof themselves. For reasons that escape me, the heavier-than-they-look shells are very loosely woven. You can whip up a lighter (or at least as light), more windproof, warmer UQ from continuous fiber insulation and some $2 sale fabric from Walmart. The materials and durability will be superior to the military stuff. Spring for quality materials and the superiority gap becomes a gulf.
