Hello from the big city of Mills River, North Carolina!

Hi fellow hammock-lovers!

My name is Ashley and I'm from Mills River, a small town near Asheville, NC. I got an Eno about 3 years ago just to play around with, but didn't really start learning about hammocks until my dad (user foxpoop) and boyfriend Carter, (cholla28) started becoming obsessed. Right now I still have my Eno (modified with some continuous loops made by my dad and a whoopie sling suspension courtesy of cholla28) and an 11.5' argon 1.6 SL treerunner. I'm not sure yet, but I think I want to try out 3/4" mule tape secured straight onto my continuous loops with a beckett hitch. I know that I'll need to wrap the tape around multiple times, wedge sticks under it, or use huggers so I don't hurt the trees. I like the idea of only having to tie one simple knot on each side of the hammock. While I don't plan on using any hardware as of right now, I do like the HammockFan strap anchors. I've been sewing for quite awhile and hope to apply some of my skills to DIY projects for not only me, but foxpoop and cholla28 as well. Not sure what else to talk about, but I'm excited to learn more on the site and get ready to go hammock camping!

Saw foxpoop at John Rock last month. Why not gather up your fella and go to the Hot Springs hang next month? It should be a big time.

Well to the forum. I love that part of NC. I've driven through Mills River many of times on my way to staying in Brevard. In fact my wife and I were married in Brevard. Or more specifically "Pretty Place". I bet you've heard of it.
