    Camouflage

I love stealth camping and am currently looking at WB Digital Camo and Multicam versions of the superfly. Obviously like the lighter weight on the Digicamo.

I currently have a regular green superfly and love the size, but after this last trip to ID, I would really like to disappear into the woods a bit more.

Has anyone input on these two versions if you have seen them in action, or have any other suggestions on a large camo tarp?

colser view option 1 on rt side option 2 on lft side.jpg This is the Digi cam, I personally think its on the dark side, I think we have a greener bushy color here in TN that is just hard to get right to blend in. If I had my druthers I would prefer to have a Superfly tarp in Mossy Oak Forest Floor or RealTree Hardwoods green, but Its just not available yet unless its a DiY clone. But as it is what it is and It's a super great tarp.

Looks dark to me as well. On the site it looks tan or brown.

THANKS for the pic and input!

This one is nice in the camo color. You get the camo effect while also getting somewhat transparency vs silnylon. Definitely super light and spacious. I would prefer multicam but the weight, waterproofing, lack of water absorption, no seam treatments needed of this unit trump the lack of my favorite camo.

I recently made some diy snake skins out of mossyoak mosquito netting and think that a hammock with that would be awesome and for stealth camp but for the time being keep tarp in skins till needed for shelter or sleep security may be a better practice and keep it low as comfort allows/

Ice, if you're hoping for a decent breakup pattern, the digi cam is not it. there's NO large pattern breakup in it, and from a distance it'll look like a brown tent. I'd suggest you look at Kuiu or Sitka for their patterns-both of which are absolutely superb, at least from a hunting standpoint. it's called "optifade" at Sitka, and I've used it extensively on hunts with my longbow. Predator Fall Gray camo will do the same thing. The gray background tends to reflect the surrounding colors effectively, and you can disappear in it! Of course this is in a human's visible light range. Thermally, you're always a sitting duck!

You might find it interesting to pitch behind the bushes and see what happens with the bushes to break it up.

If you are going to try for all camo do yourself a favor and take a bright poncho. If anything happens you might want to be found. ;-)

I wondered about this? How many people use blaze orange on one side of a quilt? I saw that in another thread and thought it was a pretty good idea.

I've owned the digicam dark one from Warbonnet for years. Here, in New England, the dark colors actually blend quite well. To the point that, sometimes, I have to look for the horizontal part to find my tarp.
Color camo works great against other backdrops. Stand alone though, not so much. A straight, horizontal line is fairly easy to pick out, no matter what color or pattern you use. And, its solid-even with a pattern, its still solid. Thats my $0.02
