Good to hear both of you have/will make it.
I should be in camp by 5-6pm.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

This is the walk out to Hidden Pond on Hidden Pond Short trail.

I took this photo because it has a scrub jay in it. I saw scrub jays three times and always in pairs.

    My camp

These are the dead mosquitos in the bottom of my hammock. They landed on my treated bug net and bit the dust.

    Around the fire

    Hidden Pond

    The shore of the pond

    Taking a swim

    The morning fog

    The prairie

    Trying to dry out

Can you find the scrub jay in this one?

    The walk home

Hello I'm a long time camper, new to hammock camping. I camp with my Service Dog and my Bird (he has a cage in the back of the car for sleeping and he has his own hiking backpack). Since I am a Disabled Veteran I only do short hikes. Any suggestions and where it would be good for me to hammock camp.

    Thank you

Welcome to the forum. Check out the southeast forum for group camp outs. Ocala National Forest is a popular spot, but I am not sure which trails are long hikes and which ones are short ones. Hopefully someone smarter than I can help you out.
The essential part of me can not be discussed here. Ask me in person.
