Ashhang, I was going to try and go this weekend too but my wife mentioned she had plans for me already. Some arts and crafts thing I need to help her with. I look forward to your trail report.

Sounds good Ashhang, I try and make it to hidden pond every month or so. I enjoy it there and I don't know of many hikes closer to home. Have fun at the 450th celebration, it's going to be nice.
Great news..... Was informed my Hammock will be started on the 7th!!! Very exited... From reading all the posts and past trips.... This will be a great experience for this hammock Noob!
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived." Henry David Thoreau
Awesome to hear. They make great hammocks.
Seems to me like there is going to be a lot of new vendor and DIY gear to peruse at my pleasure. I'm getting antsy. Time is slowing down on me.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
In 3 weeks, a lot of hikers are gonna have a great time in the piney woods of Ocala National Forest. Almost time to get your gear out from Summer hibernation and see what you need to replace or fix before it's too late.
Attendees list.
Please indicate where and when you will arrive. Not a necessity, but it makes it easier for others to plan for meeting up and coming in with a hiking partner.

Starting my load out inventory this weekend FH. Time to start trimming down the Oz's all around to make room for the first night steak and potatoe. Looking forward to some dirt time, and catching up with everybody on this hang.
P.S. Will be arriving with HangNyak at Pats island around noon on Friday.
Cheers

Heading out right now ( Just waiting on the wife to get ready hehe). I will let everyone know how it looks later this afternoon
So I hiked form Pats Landing. The trail look good except a few spots that has been over grown. Also there is a lot of fire wood on long the trail. There was a lot of folks on the trail. When I got to hidden pond there was a lot of folks swimming and enjoying the day no one camping du. The camping area looks very good and picked up. Everything look good besides the heat hehe.. I saw tons of scrub jays, lots of lizards, and one black racer (snake).
