I recently treated myself to a tarp upgrade to a Superfly. My go to is a BMBH so the pull-out spreader bar mod was done. Absolutely love this set up but I was a little concerned with the stress between the tie-outs & it also created a semi flat area. I hadn't read of any issues but test it we must. With the weight of downpour the semi-flat area became a small pond, it leaked. Moisture was passing thru & beading on the membrane almost like condensation, ridgeseam was also leaking.

Corresponded with Brandon a bit & he said to send it back for testing. I told him let me silicone the tarp & seal the ridgeseam then let him know. Tested again, dry as a bone in the desert. We'll never know if it was a faulty roll of material (unlikely) or I had stretched the material & ridgeseam stitching, opening the weave & threading along with ponding due to the flattening between the tie-outs.

Just a reminder. Test your gear. I used this on the tarp body http://www.walmart.com/ip/Atsko-9249...l.-Oz/29873159 which was actually only $5. (1 can was just enuf, I bought 2) & this on ridge seam http://www.amazon.com/SILNET-Seam-Se.../dp/B00HX26YYO
