I am also on the list for a longer version. At just over 6' 1" I am on the fence about it.

[QUOTE=jknight;1663393]Hi all, my Hennessey is getting some ridges and starting to become uncomfortable, so with that justification I plan on ordering a Amok. I am 6'3" which is the upper range of height, has anybody my height used the Amok, or does anybody have any insite on when they are coming out with a full size hammock?
Thanks!
5'11" here, I find it to be snug, my youngest son is 6'4", he does not fit.
They are a challenge regarding communication, but they will answer your inquiry in time, just be patient.
As they have explained to me, they are very small company.
Whenever I contacted Amok about problems or questions I felt I got excellent response When my buckle slipped and was destroyed they sent me 2 new straps, no charge and they was here in no time
Hi everyone,
First post on this forum, thanks for having me.
I am from Montreal, Quebec, Canada and an owner of the Draumr3.0
I have had 10 nights in my draumr and, as a side sleeper, couldn't be happier.
I however have one issue I can't wrap my head around and I was wondering if anyone of you could help.
I do three season backpacking and as I was needing a mattress, following Amok recommendations, I settled on an exped downmat 9 XL.
Here is the issue... The mat seems to bit a bit l long once in the draumr sleeve. What happens is that the whole part top of the buttock is quite flat and comfortable, but below there, it "Caves in" to compensate for the lack of length. The footbox part tends to roll a bit.
The result is that on the back, my knees have no support and that creates a tension as the footbox is a bit higher.
I tend to have a fully inflated mat as I like the rigidity.
Any others having this issue? Suggestions to minimize this problem?
Now I am super happy with the hammock, it is very confortable and I have great nights in it, just this issue that bugs me!
Thanks!
You might not want the pad fully inflated try adjusting different amounts of air. Could be you body weight is pushing too much air to the foot area. I found mine to be most comfortable at about 50%.
Thanks, I'll try that, I just really enjoy the rigidity provided by having it fully inflated, I need to make some more tests.
I agree. let a little air out of it. both the down and the synmat 9's are 3.5" thick. that thickness as well as the length at full inflation is a tight fit. imagine pushing on a flexible thing directly from the ends. the item will flex in the middle. that's what's happening. The same thing happens to mine when i use the synmat 9. it bends at the knee and my feet droop. when i let a little air out of it, it's more compliant and that bendy point goes away.

I am REALLY cautious with the "full rigid" thing. 75%+/- is about where I go after I blew two tube seams last fall.
I think the over-inflation part is what causes the foot to roll as well.
