    Hatteras Hammock stand 15ft - ok for 11 ft hammock

    Does anyone have this stand and can give an opinion on it?

    It is probably going to work but leave your hammock too low to the ground. There may be a way to diy some height extenders. Or, just make a turtlelady or turtledog stand. Hemmeck makes a real nice stand too.

    The need for the 30 degree angle gets you. At 15 ft, the ends would need to be li!e 7+ feet high!

    It won't work. My advice: spend the extra $70 on the Hammeck stand. It's better made, very portable, and you'll be supporting a cottage vendor. You won't regret it!

    This is my DIY stand with my 11' Hammeck Envy S on it. As you can see the ends are quite high, I originally built this stand for a spreader bar/net hammock, you know the kind that dumps you on the ground ! Anyway, I had to cut the ends off and cut new angles and then weld them back on to make it work for the gathered end hammocks. I like to tinker on things so this was fun for me, but I'd have to agree with the others and get the Hammeck stand.
