Here's some reading and viewing material that begs to differ.

Not sure if you are really familiar with tyvek, but people wash it all the time and I have yet to hear of anyone messing up their washing machine.
Then, wash it with darks hehe. Here is the camo effect, maybe.
For years I used a plastic piece from Home Depot. The kind that you put under the plants to keep the carpet in your car clean. It was free and just the right size. It is a little crinkly, but not bad at all.

I stopped using it a while ago and just went to a gear hammock.

It's so light and takes up no space, so it's still in the bottom of my pack...just in case.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
I washed mine by itself 3 or 4 times. Can't remember if I put it in the dryer or not. It's pretty soft now. Also treated it with Martin's 10 % permethrin. You can see dead bugs on it with ease now!
Is medical blue pad the same thing as a "burn sheet"?I ordered one from Walmart and it arrived in such a condition as to be useless. So I had them replace it and the next one was just as bad. Both were like "powdered newspaper".They are supposed to be sheets for burn patients so I would have thought they would have had some sort of durability. Was it a fluke?
Oops, after rereading your post I guess you did say less than 10 minutes, so you were right!!!
wash it, beat it on a rock, soak it in a bucket, it doesnt matter it will soften and shrink. then dye it with water base stain. will be darker but not as dark as you want. hybrid stain works too.
