Quilt set recommendation for XLC

A 20* UQ, full length, will keep you covered from 20-70* nicely
For a TQ, a 20 and a 40 or 50* provides the seasonal warmth without going overboard as a 20*TQ is toasty warm at 60* where as a 50*TQ is more right. Essentially the UQ is more forgiving over the 20-70 temp range than the TQ IMO
If only one TQ is in order, take the lowest temp you will be in and start there ...your warm sleeper self will be buffer enough should the forecast go lower.

Just to expand on the above...I used my Incubator 20+1 last weekend and it was 65 for the low...had it pulled up tight to the hammock and slept fine with a fleece liner that I found myself reaching for about 4am...I went with the long/wide Burrow top quilt because as a side sleeper (a cold one at that) once I get on my side and wrap up completely there is only about 6" of me actually touching the hammock...wrapping up doesnt seem to compress anything so I went with a warmer TQ and a 3 season UG...

Edited to add...from order to door was 4 days for both TQ and UQ...both were seperate orders...Hammock Gear is top notch...

Ended up deciding on a custom HG Incubator as a 30 degree and a Burrow 40 in Coyote Brown. As a fairly warm sleeper, I think that will give me a solid 3 season set that will work well. Thanks for all the advice and info. I suspect that I will be adding more to the stable over time but this seems like a good start. On a related note, Brandon steered me away from the 1.1 DL and I instead got the single layer multicam.

Definitely a good call with hammock gear. I have a 40 incubator and burrow, they are the perfect 3 season set up for myself. And for winter I use a 0 degree set. They are like using a electric blanket.

Ditto on the Hammock Gear quilts... I suggest getting your TQ/UQ to match colors. Many people end up with multiple quilts with a range of temperature ratings. The colors help quickly identify which temp rating each quilt has when grabbing from your gear closet. I've now got 0 degree, 20 deg. and 40 degree sets of UQ/TQ combos... each set is a different color. Easy to identify.

Right now, the plan is to layer items if I need to extend the temp range. I can add a liner, use the winter cover, add a protector, etc.

Talk to HG about UQ. If your not sure about full length vs 3/4 length they used to make a custom combo of the two. I beleive it's called a Phincubator. Combo of an Incubator and Phoenix.
I love my HG quilts. I've got a 0* Incubator, 40* Phoenix and a 40* Burrow.

I actually own a 20* +1 Phicubator and love it. I am looking at getting the same setup in mulitcam from HG to replace my twice used Coyote phincubator. Highly recommend Hammock Gear.
