    Question for Shug

I think I have viewed a 100 or more of Shug's videos on YouTube..
They are all fantastic... Bring a real newbie to hammock camping, I am putting my list together on everything I will need... This is based on a lot video watching and taking notes... There a lot to consider when buying equipment and there are all levels of quality...

Shug, have you a list of your essential items for a newbie hammock camper you would be willing to share?? My list wanders all over the place..

Thanks for your time... Sokohammock Mike

Not really....it is all scattered through the videos. Maybe eyeball a pack load video. Most is in there......https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UK9o...389FA6&index=1

I wonder how many people Shug has converted.

My three year old daughter was going through the house last night saying "Do not do, what I ever do." Haha.

Shug made a believer out of me. I'm skipping a tent entirely and going right to the trees. I've always loved hammocks, his videos just proved I could take them out of the back yard and into the back woods. Thanks for that, cheers!

Not to hijack the thread, but the answer is different for each person. If you are backpacking it will be different than car camping. You will likely start with gear that is heavier than you will use after some experience. You can lighten your gear one piece at a time. (You will also carry too many extra items at first.)

Our house is full of shug-ism's on a daily basis. Even my 2yr old chimes in.

    "Goodness gracious that's good eating"

"Do not do what I do"

    "Old men walkin"

    And of course.... "Whoo buddy!"

I think shug in the third person has some of the best videos out there.

Now that you have seen his vids, enjoy some more Shug in your life and listen to his jamming stuff...https://soundcloud.com/you/sets.

This is a link he sent me in his Angleworm Trail, BWCA with Shug & Wander'nFool Thread.

Shug, I hope you don't mind me sharing it.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Yes, Shug is certainly influential. But, I wonder why there aren't also hundreds of guys riding Unicycles down hill in the woods?

...while flying a plane and eating a coffee crisp!
Warming temperatures and increased rainfall during early May stimulate the calling of male Pine Barrens treefrogs. Vocal activity, which may begin prior to sunset, peaks during warm, humid June evenings.
