They will be having various demonstrations on wooden canoes and how to work on them in case anyone is interested in coming over and seeing some of their canoes. I tried to find out a schedule of events but it seems like it is pretty informal. I was told if anyone wants to drop by on Saturday the best time wouldbe anytime after 10 am after they got all set up and working.
I wish I could come see that. I have an interest in wooden yaks

French Toast for everyone. I do love a good burger. I bet these will be good ones.

Can some of us have burgers with cheese on top of them... We call them cheeseburgers around here. It sounds simple, but man does it change the game completely. Will blow your mind

I'm probably arriving around 8:00 pm Friday evening. It will be dark. Any suggestions on how to find a spot for me and my daughter to set up? We've never been to this camp site so we will be in the dark in more than one way.

Coffee and hot chocolate will be available for breakfast. Tim and I should be there in time Saturday morning. If not...Cave Man will run the coffee/hot chocolate show!

From my experience, people will come out of the woods, literally, and help you find a decent spot if you are not sure. In fact, that is EXACTLY what happened to my fiance and myself at our first group hang at Stokes a few years back. Knotty came over and walked us around to help us find a decent spot, and then left us to it to set up while he went back to the group at the fire.... 10 mins later, he brought back 8 more guys who helped us set up, loaned us better tarps and stakes, showed us some techniques, and joked with us while setting up

I was on the forums for a few months already, so I had SOME idea of the kind of folks we have in HF, so I had a bit of faith we would be in a good group.. But my fiance, who never spoke to anyone on HF's, was going on total blind faith from me when I told her I think we will like the people we meet. After that we were both totally sold that HF people really are the best kind of people and we have looked forward to each and every time we get together with our friends....
One more week of work and then it's playtime everyone

Saint Francis - I see your comment under "Insulation" is "huh?" I have no idea how new you are, but you will definitely want a pad or an under-quilt to sleep on.

No problem; I was just curious. I am still getting the "hang" of these things.

Ok, we're in. (myself, sister, hubby, 2 kids)

Last time the kids felt like they missed out by camping in the family area, so all 5 of us will be in the Group Area this time !

Figuring out food contributions and something for the raffle table.
