    Finding your way back.

My headlamp punches a deep hole in the darkness on high beam so I never really concerned myself with not being able to find my way back from a call to nature, but I was continually exasperated by the black guy lines of my Hyperlite. It seemed like I was tripping over them every time I turned around. I was at the end of my rope :~} when I found a roll of reflective guy line at the local outfitters. That stuff shows up like it was made out of LED's.

Now I've noticed that even when I'm too far away for my headlamp to iluminate the hammock (at least 200'), the lines still glow like they're on fire when the light hits them.

On my ridgeline .... my mesh organizer ditty bag with glasses, small pack towel, cigars or whatever needs somewhere to go. On ridgeline... my knife right over my head for quick access incase of sappers or haints, photon light and headlamp and usually my clock/thermometer. On the foot end socks, rainpants and whatever is airing out. I snap my down vest by one snap by the ridgeline on my head end and push it way back .... there if I need a bit of warmth in the night. Love a ridgeline!!!!!!
Pack on the ground by my hammock.

I put pocket stuff. headlamp & wet wipes in the mesh pocket. Everything else (except for smelly stuff which goes up high) goes on the ground on my sil gear hammock. If it is raining or going to rain hard I might hang the gear hammock, really depends on campsite selection.

The guy lines on this tarp are BLACK Glocord by Sterling rope. The pic was taken at Hot Springs, during the day with flash.

    Cheers, Dale
