Lightbulb Where do you listen to your podcasts?

Hi, I'm putting the final touches together for a hammock camping podcast and wanted to get some feedback on where people find their podcasts so that I know where to register it. I'm assuming that most folks here are IOS/Android, but what directory do you use to find your podcast? What do you search and how do you find what you're looking for?

Thanks in advance for all of your assistance with this.

I listen to podcasts on my iPhone while commuting. I mostly listen to health and wellness and fly fishing podcasts. I generally find new ones by searching out people that have been interviewed on other podcasts that I listen to. I would definitely check your out! What kind of content are you planning to provide: interviews, trip reports, gear reviews?

Thanks for the response. I expect to do interviews and updates on new tech and current/trending topics, etc... I think gear reviews are probably more suited to video content and trip reports are very personal. Not sure how I'd do that.

I use Podcatcher Deluxe and Stitcher on my Android. I also just google search sometimes and then use Podcatcher when I find something I like. Please post up when you get your podcast up and running.

Thanks, I will. I'm trying to make sure that I submit to as many of the directories out there as possible when I bring the first episode online, I'll have to figure out which one Podcatcher uses. Stitcher appears to use their own.

Android user, I'm currently using Podcast Addict but have also used Stitcher in the past. As was mentioned above, I find a lot of my new podcasts from interviews with people on podcasts I already listen to. Let us know what yours is when you get it up and running and I'll check it out.

pnyberg, I'm not sure if you're kidding; assuming that you're not then look at this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcast

Basically, it's a pre-recorded radio show that you can listen to on your smartphone or PC.

IOS here. I try any and all outdoors podcasts. There are only a couple that I enjoy and are reliable in submitting episodes.

I search camping, hiking, backpacking, outdoor, hike, tent, hammock, mountain, etc.

I hate when I find a podcast that I like and the latest episode is from a year or more ago.
