ViDEO: AMOK Tarp in Storm Test

Stayed high and dry in a windy severe storm in my backyard with the AMOK Tarp and Draumr 3.0 hammock. No rain blew in. But as in all tarping...things can always go different on a real trip in the woods. Site selection is alway paramount if possible.
I pulled the corners of the tarp in like half doors and that proved to work well. Not a drop on me.
It is fun exploring new gear and I look forward to more time with this set up.

This hammock just keeps getting better. It would be nice to see this hammock go thru the paces in some of the storms you and Hickery get in the Gorge.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Thanks for the video and tip on the tarp "mini-doors". Testing the BA Q Core SL tonight and looking forward to cool weather!

May you sleep well. I feel I am getting to know this hammock and am not tired of it at all. I truly like it a lot. A lot.

Just watched portions of your and Hickery's trip to the Gorge and the spectacular lightning display. Floridahanger had it right thinking you and Hickery would have a great time with the Amok hammock in a similar setting. The rain on the tarp from today's video sounded pretty neat.

I can't believe you tested that with the tornado watch on. You da man Shug as the kids say. I was hunkered inside waiting to jump under the stairwell with a mattress. Cheers.

A few years ago, there was a trip report that included a storm brewing in the distance and the hanger rode out the storm in the hammock. It was just West of the city of Joplin, MO. Yes, that tornado that killed 160+.

Be careful out there, you're(you meaning everyone) not the only one that has to live with decisions that affect you. And you don't want a house to fall on you

Looks like your hood got a bit more activity than we did out here in the St Croix valley. Dang! I love storms (as long as nothing/nobody gets hurt.)

Well that was a mighty nice night for sleeping! Glad the new rig didn't let you down!
