I'm currently in a Dutchware 11' netless but that may change as I'd like a modular set-up like the Envy. I'm shopping for an underquilt, topquilt and tarp and was wondering what works best for 11' or longer hammocks. I'm 6'2" 180lbs so the shorter hammocks don't agree with me. I tried out a Grand trunk double and also discovered really wide hammocks don't work too well for me either as 1' on each side was basically unusable.
My thoughts:
-Your TQ will be based on your body, and not your hammock.
-Pretty much every UQ from the cottage vendors will fit an 11' hammock perfectly. I also have a 12' hammock, and I tend to add a 12"-ish extension onto the end of my UQ suspensions (usually a dog bone, and the other end of the dog bone is connected to the hammock end).
- I generally recommend getting a tarp that has a RL equal to or greater than the hammock length. Once you put some sag in your hammock, ideally with a structural ridgeline, the hammock will fit perfectly under the tarp. A good example is that the Warbonnet Blackbird XLC is an 11' hammock, and the Warbonnet Superfly has an 11' RL.
As far as I know all the vendors selling UQ's here on the forum will work with an 11' hammock. If you do find it to be a bit tight just add 6-8" piece of shockcord to the existing suspension.

I have a 11 ft EnvyS and I have found that my Arrowhead 3/4 Jarbrige. Hammock Gear 3/4 Phoenix and a UndergroundQuilts 7/8 Zeppelin fit just fine.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
