I will be there !
I will be there !
My husband and I will definitely be attending and likely my brother per usual. I know Gabe and I will be arriving Friday evening. Can't wait to see everyone.
Awesome! Can't wait to try out my new quilts from JacksRBetter. Looking forward to seeing everyone too. Thanks for putting it together Zack!
"The last to let you down". Go Navy!
I will also try to go. Nov 8 is my birthday so I should be able to go if that's what I want
Get lost in the woods and find yourself again. A vacation,to me, is working with your hands and surviving because of the fruits of your labor. In the business world I teach;in the natural world I learn.
Super disappointed I won't get to meet anyone! I wil be in the Deam Wilderness with a few other folks from October 17-25. Will be doing some backpacking every day and hanging around a campfire every night! If any of you other hangers are in the Deam that week, maybe we'll cross paths! Happy Hanging!
If we do all the trails and get bored we may go down to Twin Lakes Loop Trail Tell City. Will have 2 novice camper/ hikers along so focus will be more on setting up camp, gathering wood, dealing with the elements/weather, enjoying each others company- and not mileage. Just completely enjoying being Out in the woods! Plus, they are new hangers and will be fiddling a lot!
Don't want to hijack this planning thread- just sorry my time won't allow joining this hang! Can't wait to hear how it goes!
I'm hoping to have the cold weather gear dialed in for Nov.. Probably going with a pad and reflectix for now. Raising money for an underquilt. I made a pluq and it works ok but not for very cold weather.
As usual, I guessed wrong on the dates of this hang months ago and am working on the 7th. You all have a good time.

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver
Hate to see so many miss this event. All the more reason to set an annual date. Was very hard to figure out the date in time for my wife and I to get time off work as well. While we are at it, maybe we should figure an annual date for the Spring Hoosier Hang as well!
