i know this is designed for the Ridgerunner but really wonder how it would do on a normal gathered-end hammock, thoughts? i like that it's a tad lighter than the Jarbidge. 16oz right?

It would not fit a GE. The desighn would not cross from the RR to any other hammock...even most other bridge hammocks would not work. It is sized to the inch for the RR, only one end has a cinch cord to gather the quilt, the connections for the corners are made just to fit the RR attachment points. Combine that with the quad cat cuts and it would not give you any room in a GE to move or lay at a diagonal. The entire set up from the ground up is made for the RR.
