Howdy all y'all from NE Tenneessee

Howdy! I hope all is well!

Just want to introduce myself. Family is from a small county in NE Tennessee. So far NE that if you go north, you're in Virginia. If you go east, you'd be in North Carolina. We love living in the Mountains and have our whole lives.

I started my oldest son overnight hiking when he was 6 (17 now) and we've tent camped or in a shelter whenever we go. This past May, when I took both of my boys on a long weekend trip to Grayson Highlands State Park, a couple of our friends brought hammocks and we tried them out for a little while and feel in love. We have purchased a couple of War Bonnet hammocks and tarps. They are actually waiting at the post office since no one was home for the delivery. We are just itching to get them set up and sleep!

I hope to learn a lot from this forum, we've got some transitioning to be doing!!
