    Loco Libre- Ghost Pepper

First, let me say something about George: The guy knows his stuff, and he takes a LOT of pride in his work. He's a pleasure to work with, and I will be ordering again for my new winter set.

I've had a ghost pepper topquilt for about 3 weeks. I've slept in it for 10 nights, and I'm in love. The chevron baffles may seem odd at first, but let me tell you, they do what they're designed to do. The corners of each zigzag hold onto the down, and it doesn't want to shift. I can't even try to shake all the down to one side like I can with straight baffles. I can't imagine what kind of extra work George has to go through to pull off these baffles.. but they ARE worth it.

I never did a review of the first Ghost pepper, because.. well.. reasons! But my second one arrived in the mail today, and it's so pretty it needs to be shared. I chose the colors to make it reversible. The inside is RipstopBytheRoll's Military Woodland 1.1 poly and the outside layer is RipstopByTheRoll's 1.1 Intruder Multicam

I'm thrilled with the Ghost Pepper line, and can't wait to add a 0° (with insulated footbox) to my collection.

I've also got a Multicam Out/Black HyperD 1.0 inside Habanero, but I'm going to get a few nights on that before I post a review.

I DIY all my hammock gear, but that's an awesome looking quilt -- much better then I could do!

And I think it's pretty awesome that they use high quality duck down -- it's a responsible business decision and allows them to reach a price point that's largely unmet. Way to go!

That is a beautiful quilt! I've been dreaming of getting a multicam tq made by one of our cottage vendors, or even diy'ing one myself, but seeing the multicam with the chevron baffles might have me leaning toward LocoLibre. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more reviews on his quilts.
What temp specs did you get these made to?

The Multicam quilt is a sewn through with a total of 9 oz of down, it should get me to about 40°, maybe a little lower, because I'm a warm sleeper. The Habanero I got is a 40° spec, with overstuff, that I should be able to push to 35°

I like the baffle pattern. Must be a pain to sew.

It requires a little extra effort, but I think its worth it.

My first night with the Habanero went well. I spent the night in a gathered end and the diagonal baffle work really nicely. I ended up kicking off the ghost pepper sometime in the night.

It should be noted, my UQ came with Tato quilt hangers installed. Up until yesterday, I'd never seen these particular pieces of hardware before. So there was a small learning curve.

Will write an official review with pics, etc on the habanero after the Maine Lighthouse and Lobster hang

Are your quilts all sewn thru baffles or box baffles? Couldn't tell from website but might have missed it!
