Is right lay feet right or head right?

Is it double layer. And just to be clear, if I am looking at the hammock straight on the head is to the left?

It is a double layer. And I don't know what you mean by straight on but if your looking at the entry side head will be on right. So when your laying in the hammock your feet go in the footbox to the right of the ridgeline and your head goes to the left of ridgeline. Which also puts the shelf on your right side..
