Alex was a big hit last year! Personally, I think he was crazy for swimming in the lake in Janauary!

Things are coming together quickly now. Thank you to everyone who does so much. When we say the list of folks who step up and keep things running smoothly is extensive, it really is. Thank you in advance to all attendees for who approach these hangs with a can do mindset and being so flexible!

I'm looking for a volunteer with a pickup to go and sweep the bagged garbage from the cleanup project that the scouts are doing. I believe there is so much trash they won't be able to carry it back. There are a few places around the lake one could drive up to.

See you all before you know it!

Good call Timberrr. This is an invite only private campout. This a family event for sure. But not a Scout/church event. Meaning some adult beverages might be passed around the camp fire, after the sun has gone way down. If this offends you get with Timberrr for helpful tips.

Depends on how hot I can make it. Trying for boot melting this time.

Only way I would be offended is if I did not get an adult beverage

I went on the group hike last year around the Doe Lake and there was enough trash to keep a couple a scout troops busy trying to clean it up.

    RE: Kayaking trips.

    1. Any kayaks for rent in the area, or do we need to bring our own?

    2. Canoes welcome?

    Thanks!

A few of the locals will be bringing their yaks for others to borrow. Timber and I will be bringing three SOT yaks that can carry a total of 4 people, with 4 vests and 4 paddles.

If you wanted to bring a canoe you could, I would not recommend a Canoe for the Juniper Springs trip on Friday (its very tight, often very shallow and winding). As far a using a canoe on the Silver River or Alexander Springs run though it would work great.

    Hope that helps!
