There are five people coming in my group, Only four would like to kayak. I have one double kayak, and three sit on top singles. All with paddles and life jackets. I would be alright with somewhat experienced paddlers borrowing throughout the hang. Maybe I will make a sign out sheet. So i can keep track of who has what and for how long.
Very nice of you to share the yaks. A sign up sheet is a great idea.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
Thanks. That would be great if you don't mind bringing them.
Just to clarify, I have 3 yaks, all sit-in and one is a tandem with additional jump seat for little one. For myself, I don't need one but was wondering how many will be there. I like the idea of a sign up sheet for anyone that wants to borrow them from someone else. I let folks use mine on the lake because many folks haven't used a yak before. It's a great experience.
I probably won't be able to go to any springs, never have the time, but will use at the lake.
Thanks to all that are willing to share their equipment for others to enjoy. That's what I like about us Hangers, always helping others.

Could a good detailed directions be given. Last year a Frend & I came down to a motorcycle rally & spent most of the day Friday trying to find the entrance. GPS took us in the back side & the gate is locked. Locals did not know where the main entrance was. They said we were less than a mile from where we wanted to go but they usually went through where the gate was usually open. After winding up almost to the ocean we gave up & went back to the motorcycle rally. My Frend was ready to buy his first hammock. He still hasn't bought one.
Thank you oldbiker, for being willing to try again. These are the directions from the ONF website:
Directions:Doe Lake Recreation Area is between Moss Bluff and Umatilla. Access is via unimproved roads.
From Ocala: Drive east 11 miles on SR 40 to Forest Corners. Turn right (south) on CR314-A. After about 9 miles you'll pass through the blinker at Moss Bluff. Make the next major right at an old country store. Passing entrances for Sunnyhill Restoration Area on the left, you'll come to FR 14 (Cross Rd or Big Scrub Rd) after 3.6 miles. Turn left onto this unimproved forest road. Continue 0.9 mile and bear right. Turn right after 0.2 mile into the recreation area.
From Eustis: Follow CR 452 north for 11 miles. Turn left onto SR 42. After 1.6 mile, turn right at Buck & Doe's Store. Continue 4.1 miles north to FR 14. Turn right onto this unimproved forest road. Continue 0.9 mile and bear right. Turn right after 0.2 mile into the recreation area.
There will be lots of hammocks for your friend to try out. Just about anyone there will be eager for you to try their rig, so wear some shoes that are easy to kick off. Warning: they'll follow you around telling you why their rig is the best way to do it. We're also going to have vendors of some of the finest hammocks made. We'll make sure your friend is well taken care of!

So many trees, so little time...
No cars in the hammock area is a great idea. May inconvience some but a much nicer view for all. Went last year, and it was a great event! I'll be there again in 2016.
Not much inconvenience at all. You are allowed to drop off any gear near your location then go park. Of course, most folks bring only some gear...
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
Thanks Timberrr. I'll print your directions & try again this January. He was wanting to try out several to see what he likes.
