I always like going SOBO; somehow, it feels like going downhill.
...and as it harm none, do what ye will.
#45 completed this past weekend. Got out with Redwing for a hang at Mohican State Park. Hit up site 8, which I'd always skipped in the past. A little chilly for May, but I was prepared. Clear skies gave a great view of the stars and slept like a rock until 5am when a murder of crows moved in directly overhead. I think I understand why they call it a "murder", cause I was ready to kill 'em.

Hobo Off The Ground All Year Round: 8 7
consecutive months since the start, 9/2015 through 11/2022
#45 is done and I got out on two trips this month with 5 nights in the hammock. The first was at the Michigan Bushcraft Spring Gathering where a few of us from HF did our best to help spread the word about hammocking and demonstrate a variety of gear. Second one was a weekend in the woods of northern Michigan at one of my favorite spots to hang. I don't know what next month will bring, but I know I'll get out and enjoy some quality time in the hammock.
My entire boy scout troop (not that I own it, I just get volunteered to pretty much go everywhere with them) already has at least one camping trip every month of the year. All I'd have to do is record it in some way. Why have all of that camping gear you own unless you're going to really use it.
Just completed a goal of mine, based on this thread. Got 2 years solid in of at least one night a month, in the hammock. 80 percent was done on camp trips with about 20 percent being backyard hangs.
Thank you all for the help and guidance, via this website. I learned so much from reading, watching and then doing.
I am going to keep going. Its so nice to be out at least once a month, in the woods.
New goal is to get down to zero degrees in the hammock. Been down to 12 degrees, last November. My work schedule didnt coincide with any colder temps. I've been watching a lot of Shug and Carver winter videos, lining out this goal.
Thanks again all.
Be safe.
Bob
I wanted to do 12 this year and do one a month at least. I missed May but have 3 nights planned this weekend with my daughter. I hope it doesn’t rain too much.

#46 is in the books after an overnight at the cottage front yard overlooking Lake Huron. Probably have a night or two in the backyard next weekend, then in July I'll get out somewhere and get some trail miles in.
3 more nights for the year!
Father’s Day tradition continues 10 years running (if my calculations are correct)
Carolina Hemlocks Recreation Area only rained the last night (most of the night.
