I got in my 12th night of this series this past weekend in the "Devil's Kitchen" on the Georgia AT.
We hiked on the old AT before it was rerouted across the top of Gooch Mountain and then made our way down to Blackwell Creek for a rest.

Then we finished up the hike to the "Devil's Kitchen" and surprisingly had it all to ourselves.
I set up my hammock without the tarp.

But later got nervous with the clouds rolling in so I deployed it in summer tarp mode with the doors splayed as wide as possible to let in the cool air.

It ended up being a very nice night with no rain.

Nothing like a night in the woods to recharge the batteries.

Good job Carl (and the others who are 12 for 12 and counting)! My wife and I are currently 6 for 6 and hoping to make it!
I'm going to take a shot at this :-)
I thought I had June covered, but was mistaken, as this one was in may. Which is a shame because I also had April covered.

However, I do have July

And August

I've already got 2 nights planned in September, so I might as well keep it going and go for 12 :-) Thank god my wife's ok with it
What happened to the idea of a patch for completing 12 nights, I would be more than willing to pay for one (or two) to proudly display on my hammy. "Off the ground all year round. Mission Completed." Am I the only one?
Yeah, I was just thinking about throwing together a little design myself, but I am not much of a graphic artist. Maybe a hammock hung between a "1" and "2" with 2016 below?
Hobo Off The Ground All Year Round: 8 7
consecutive months since the start, 9/2015 through 11/2022
12/12 in August with BSA in Vogel state park just down the hill from Blood Mountain on the AT.
Lows near 68 at night. I used the hh with napkin tarp & it kept the rain out on Friday night. No UQ, used TQ a little. Wife got the good tarp & a cheap summer bag.
Bears came for the neighbors pic-i-nic basket and made a two hour party of their cooler.

I can get the patches made & distributed if we can get a design. We should contemplate add-ons for each additional year or season beyond 12 months.
Maybe a circle with a four piece ring for the ad on. Or a rectangle with a bar to add to the bottom for each extra season or year so you can keep adding on for a long time.

I haven't made out of backyards yet this year. This past a week was my 5th yard of the year and first time in a yard that I own. It also made my 9th month.
I like the idea of a circular patch with year rockers that can be added below it. So, would the convention be to put the year that you started or ended the 12 for 12?
