Really like this idea... I’m in.

New to Hammock Forums. New to this thread (actually my first post on the forum). Relatively new to hammocks. This won’t be my first night out in a hammock, but will be only the second night in my new Chameleon. And we’ll just make it my first official one for this thread.

Took my brand spanking new tarp out for a spin. Jared at SLD is amazing. It’s a SDL Winter Haven 13’. We spent 2 nights on Rock Creek. Played, fished and saw the AT for the first time. Friday night it got down to 33. I was a little worried about my daughter. She was using my DIY Costco under quilt. I made it with a snap in booster. She had her Coleman 20 sleeping bag, used as a top quilt in her Hennessy Cub. She stayed toasty! I had my Chameleon with my HG Burrow 20 and my Econ Incubator 20. It got quite windy so I put my UQP on as well. Great trip.

Hanging out at home tonight with my son’s two Dobies, my husband’s Heinz 57, and my three small dogs. They all love to congregate around the hammock.

I think I'm on month 16 now! Been down to -1°F too. Happy for warmer temps though here in Maine. It's been mid 40's at night here the past 6 nights out in the hammocks.

Up to 10 months now and have May and June planned. Will never go to ground again if I have a choice. I’m working to convert my sons and wife and have gained a reputation as a hammock “evangelist “. Bring it!

My latest “trick” is to bring an extra hammock to Scout events. “ go ahead try it out” - works a charm!

    #4 for 2018...
Dutch Chameleon, xenon hex tarp, hammock gear econ 40 quilt set. The tarp and hammock are both olive Brown, but with the sun shining on the tarp it looks golden! Only supposed to get down to 47 degrees tonight, so it should be a great night!

Camped out Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night, this past weekend. Those three nights I slept 30 hours total. The low temperature for the weekend was 26°. I had a digital thermometer in my sleeping bag that I was using as a top quilt, 92° was the high temperature for Saturday night. I was toasty. Best sleep I got in years.

Month 8 in the Ridge Runner. By far, the warmest night spent outside since October, with temps only down into the 50's. (The night before dipped to 32°.) Probably the last night for using the 0° Burrow as staying cool took a bit of effort. Have a summer burrow on order.

With the tarp in porch mode and no need for bug netting, it was nice to watch the near-full moon travel low across the sky during the early morning hours.
