    reintroduction

Figured I should start here after being gone over a year due to my back problems. I had to stop everything and concentrate on my health for a while. My back problems got so bad that I could barely walk in my house, so I took some me time and stopped listening to others and did what I knew had to be done. Got off the medications that had side effects of weight gain, got my diet straight, after a few months of this took the next step join the ymca so I could exercise in the pool and not hurt my back as much. Long story short I lost a little over a hundred pounds in about 14 months bringing my total weight loss to about 155 pounds. My goal is 200 pounds. I'll get there. Walking is much easier now I'm even thinking about getting some hang time in, it'll be car camping but after over a year with none, I'll happily take it. So I'll be on here a bit more, glad to be back.

Congrats on the progress Big Joe! 10 more pounds and you've lost my body weight.
I understand back issues. I'm battling that too. I've got two herniated disk and one bulging disc. The bulging disc kicks my but sometimes. When it bulges enough it touches on some nerves that cause sharp pain in my foot that makes it impossible for me to hike. I keep hoping I'll get my abilities to hike back.

Roger That! Big Joe, I have 4 major zippers in me and can empathize very easily. Here was a simple meal plan I followed to success that is easy on the wallet and the palette.

    4-cup glass bowl

1/4 cup Organic Oat Meal - 75 calories
    1.5 Tbls Malto Meal - 65 calories
1/2 cup water w/2 additional Tbls of water.
    give a quick stir

1 cup frozen Mixed Vegetables (Lima Beans, Corn, Carrots, Green Beans, Green Peas) - 90 calories
do not stir in, just sprinkle on top

Add a plate to cover the top and keep the steam in, in the morning you can add a jumbo egg and it will be poached very nicely

    Microwave for 3:30 min/sec

I use Sriracha Sauce for flavor, no salt.

What you have here is a 230-320 calorie meal that may be eaten 6 times daily. 6 am - 9 am - 12 pm - 3 pm - 6 pm - 9 pm. So your daily caloric intake is 1380 - 1920 calories.

Oh, and the cost is less than 35 dollars per week. Get some multivitamins.
