    If the hammock has an intigrated bugnet you pretty much have to use it. Lengthening that RL could damage the net.
    If the hammock is open I do not put one on. I prefer no RL. I have no issues getting my hammocks sag correct.
    Things hanging from a RL are always getting in my way, bopping me in the head or knocking my hat off when I get up.

    This is a very good point about the bug nets. When I have gone without a SRL and needed a bug net I always used a HUG net with a shock cord. Most of the time I use a Fronkey style net which requires the SRL.
