+1 on Topless. (Hangers from the Boston area will think they're hearing "Tarp-less".)

I like to watch the stars thru my eyelids as well. If the hanger under the the tarp is a bear burrito, without the tarp would be a bear taco?

As for cowboy camping in the hammock without the tarp, how about star lazing?

The last three weekends have been excellent for topless hammocking. I always wake up in the middle of the night though worried that it's raining on me, even if it's a 0% chance of rain.

Actually there are lots of good names like going topless and star lazing. There is more than one way to say it and there is lots of good slang here for our hammock community.

Except barebackin' ... What are you thinking?
