I modified an online plan I'd found for folding a piece of paper into a wallet, and basically added 4 lines of stitching. I don't have the wallet with me, but here is the ripstop version I made from the same idea ( needs a few extra lines of stitching to finish edges ). I size mine, as you can see, to mostly carry credit cards. It's not quite tall enough to carry paper bills, but I rarely have cash and I wanted compact. It starts roughly as an 8.5" x 11" piece of fabric or tyvek.
