Okay, the ball needs to start rolling...
Barring a blizzard/ice storm, I will be there Jan 15, encamped, and ready to whatever. I hope others show up, but if not, Mr. Bushmill and I have gone solo before.

I was at Albert Pike over T-day weekend. You can do hikes to Little Misouri Falls, about 6.5 miles one way. I think The Winding Stairs is about 4.5 to 5 miles one way. Of course the loop is a marathon if everyone is up for a longish hike. The place is very clean with warm showers and flush toilets. Spots 18-22(?) in the C loop looked like the best spots to hang in.

Looks like I will not be able to make it on the 15th of Jan. My son will be deploying that weekend so I will be in Camp Lejuene to see him off. If anything changes I will try and make it.
As a Leave No Trace trainer I have a special interest in how hanging is demonstrated. Driving big spikes into trees would probably make us a welcome as hangers are in Florida. I've done some hanging in the south east Missouri Ozarks. Sam A. Baker and Hawn State Parks and Boy Scout Camp Lewallan near Silva Missouri. I used ENO Slap Strap without any indication of tree bark damage.
Sam A. Baker SP is rated as on of the top 100 State Parks in the country. Hawn State Park has the best trail in the state. Yes these are my primary stomping grounds.
A Hang Gathering anywhere in the Ozarks-- Missouri or Arkansas would be fine with me.
