Would have commented sooner, but I somehow missed the thread. This was fun, as always. Bearbait started a magnificent fire and we kept it going all weekend. Mr. Grannypat slept in his new hammock the first time and said it wasn't too bad, which means it went well. ;-) We had a rare siting of Doodad and got to meet his fiance. Thanks to Loki, HB and CB and all of those who worked to make this hang a success. A special thanks to Rockdawg for his fine cobblers.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

I had such a good time at this hang! Great to see some people I already consider friends and meet some new ones! Everyone was so generous with the raffle, food, and good conversation. I couldn't believe how beautiful the area was. I was able to hang my hammock within about 24" of the river: the view and sounds were so relaxing!

Special thanks to HB (thanks for snagging my phone!), CB, and Loki for organizing this thing, and to both PacRat/InTheTrees and Sherpa and their family for giving me a ride and just being such nice people. Also thanks to Rockdawg for the cobblers, a campsite on Sunday night, a car ride north, and putting up with me on our AT hike.

I hiked up to lover's leap on Saturday, and next year will def. try to check out max patch. Those pics are making me jealous that I didn't go! I'm glad the raffle was a big success and the money is surely going to a good cause that RF would have appreciated.

Very much looking forward to this hang next year! Might have to try the actual hot springs
