Not trying to be a PITA! Just really want something like this to come to market.
    No I hear you.
The original versions of the HyBird used a smaller #3 non-separating zipper for the overcover, which is a good bit lighter and less expensive than the #5 2 way separating zippers.

It may be possible to stitch the inner zipper down lower and run the row of stitching down lower through the hammock?

Thanks for both the response and staying on top of this. And the more I "hear", the more I understand.

Just thought that maybe, maybe, having the overcover zip to the body rather than the net (a la Hybird) might ease construction(?) Maybe the extra weight, at least, would be less significant (?) due to the fact that both tops don't need to be taken along all of the time with this design having removable tops (with the bug net done as per Sparrow.) I, for one, think that #5 separating zipper would be worth the weight and cost penalty. I don't picture it as an ultra-light backpacking hammock.

    My fingers remain crossed!

Ultimate wish list notwithstanding, I spec'd and ordered a Sparrow!
