The farrimond hitch is the one I've always used on tarp tie outs and the one I found easiest to remember and use

This is one of my favorites. I've used it in numerous applications. It's better than a tautline hitch because it gives more friction and unties easier. Should be in everyone's bag of tricks.

Nice! I am thinking I will tie this on one end of my continuous ridgeline just because it is simple, and use the good old truckers hitch correctly tied on a bight for the other end to get it tight as I like while also being easy to untie.
Always nice to learn something new.
