I think this is a nice shade porch or misting/light rain setup. In any kind of downpour, I'll hunker down under the OMW and chillax in proper hammocking style.

I suppose if it's just intended for use while you're sitting there, you can always push from underneath periodically to drain it in heavy rain.
You could use it to help keep the dew or Frost off your stuff like your chair, extra firewood or anything you don't want to get damp at night.

Already have one (ordered last week and delivered Saturday...Fast shipping!) and as per some Emails with Marty I tried it with my Tadpole tarp, attaching it to the ridge line (exposed above tarp) with two prussics ,and it worked great! It did pull the ridge line off center of the tarp some, but the tarp stayed tight. There is a gap between the Tadpole and the Porch ,but in hot sun (porch used for shade) it will just vent better, and in rain I don't think I will be sitting so close to the edge of the Tadpole anyway, there is enough room to sit covered by porch and not be dripped on from the open gap/edge of Tadpole. This was a test set up and there were 30 mph wind gusts here in Illinois at the time, and everything held fine.20151002_155554.jpg
I wish I would have thought of that...... I think that I will try that sometime.
Would this fit on a Warbonnet Superfly? I can't find the dimensions between the pull outs and mine is still drying from all of the rain at Pilot Mountain this weekend.
Awesome idea! Just another way to have fun and change things up while your out and about. With a little time i bet you'd find lots of ways to use this in more adverse conditions.
Thank you!
Add a tie out to the center of one long side and use as a door to cover one end of your tarp. My original swag from the Swag and Dilly is about the same dimensions, 5' x 7', and covers one open end to block the wind.
